Aperlu LLC ("we," "our," or "us") built IC Insight (the "App") to give students clarity and predictive tools for their academic grades, without collecting the underlying data that makes that possible. This Privacy Policy explains what limited information the App handles, and just as importantly, what it does not.
Information We Do Not Collect
IC Insight collects absolutely no data about your grades information or your credentials, and no grades data is ever sent to any external servers operated by Aperlu. We do not host central databases that store your grades, academic transcripts, or portal passwords. We do not receive, transmit through our own servers, or store your Infinite Campus credentials.
On-Device Processing
IC Insight is local by default: all data processing and calculation, including course averages, what-if scenarios, and GPA projections, is done on-device. Your academic records and course averages are processed locally on your device, not on ours.
How the App Connects to Infinite Campus
When retrieving academic information, IC Insight connects directly between your device and your school's official Infinite Campus portal to securely gather your latest grades and records. No Aperlu servers or intermediary servers are involved in transmitting your grades or credentials. The only network traffic pertaining to your grades and credentials leaving your device goes to Infinite Campus and your school's official servers.
Technical Diagnostics
The App collects no technical diagnostics. It includes no crash reporting service and no analytics of any kind, so no crash logs, device information, performance metrics, or device-level identifiers are collected or transmitted. Nothing at all leaves your device apart from the direct connection to your school's Infinite Campus portal.
This Website
Everything above describes the App. This marketing website is separate from it and never receives your grades: the App has no server to send them to. The website may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-preserving page-view counter that sets no cookies, uses no client-side state, and does not fingerprint or track visitors across sites. It records aggregate page views only. The website runs no other analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking.
No Ads, No Selling of Data
IC Insight is free, with no ads and no selling of data. There is nothing to monetize through your information, because we don't collect it in the first place.
Verifying This Yourself
We encourage you to verify this yourself using any standard network proxy tool. You will find that the only traffic pertaining to your grades and credentials leaving your device is to Infinite Campus and your school's official servers.
Children's Privacy
IC Insight is intended for use by students, some of whom may be minors. Because the App does not collect, store, or transmit personal academic records or credentials to Aperlu's own servers, no such information is retained by us for users of any age. Parents or guardians with questions about a student's use of the App can reach us using the contact information below.
Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
